Ingredients
The key to making this easy is to prep all your ingredients ahead of time. Honestly, the chopping is the most time consuming part but once your done it all comes together quickly.

Note: I show pine nuts as part of the ingredients, but you can omit them. They are very pricey and you won’t miss them.

Many ways to eat these Moroccan Meatballs!
I can assure you that these Moroccan Meatballs are going to make an appearance again in other forms! Until then, here is a list of other terrific ways to enjoy them:
- Shape mix into small patties and make Moroccan Lamb sliders. Top with tomato jam, tzatziki, red onion and arugula.
- Make Moroccan lamb meatball pita pockets. Fill pita bread with ingredients in the sliders and enjoy!
- Mediterranean Bowl: fill a bowl with rice, couscous, or other grains, top with meatballs, olives, tzatziki, hummus, pickled red onion, roasted red tomatoes, Feta cheese.

Moroccan Meatballs
This is one of my all-time favorite recipes for entertaining. It’s so versitile. For example, substitute gluten free breadcrumbs, use different herbs and spices, or change the size of the meatball to make patties or loaves. It can be scaled for a large large crowd and even frozen to be baked later. I normally serve them Serve the meatballs alongside flatbread, tatziki, couscous and tomato jam, sprinkled with pine nuts, feta and herbs.

Notes
This recipe is adapted from Recipetineats.com. I’ve made a few adjustments to seasoning and technique to create a deeply comforting winter braise that pairs perfectly with creamy polenta.

This recipe sounds amazing!!!! My husband loves lamb so I will be giving this recipe a try for sure!!!!
Wow! 🤩 the flavors are so exotic and delicious with a very nice tender texture. I served them with freekeh, (roasted green wheat) laced with cranberry, onions and almonds. I’m glad the recipe had “make ahead” instructions, as it was a bit labor intensive. It’s worth it! Very special meal.
Thanks Nancy, your meal definitely sounds delicious!
