Why You’ll Love This
These lemon cantucci have all the charm of a traditional Tuscan biscuit with a brighter, more delicate personality. Soft pieces of candied Italian lemon run through the crumbly dough, giving each bite a fragrant burst of citrus that feels sunny and fresh rather than sharply sour. They are crisp enough for dipping, yet tender enough to enjoy straight from the bag.
What Makes It Special
The recipe includes 17% candied lemon along with eggs, real butter, Italian honey, natural flavor, and essential Italian lemon oil. That combination creates several layers of citrus: the peel provides texture and a gentle bittersweet edge, honey rounds the sweetness, and lemon oil lifts the aroma. The biscuits contain no preservatives or artificial colors, allowing the butter, honey, and fruit to remain at the center.
Perfect Pairings
Pair them with limoncello, Earl Grey or black tea, espresso, cappuccino, Moscato d’Asti, Prosecco, vanilla or lemon gelato, mascarpone, ricotta, fresh berries, or a spoonful of lemon curd.
Serving Ideas
Serve them with tea in the afternoon, arrange them on a dessert platter with fruit and chocolate, crumble over vanilla gelato, or dip into limoncello after dinner. They also make a lovely accompaniment to panna cotta, citrus sorbet, or a bowl of lightly sweetened ricotta.
