Why You’ll Love This
These are the cantucci we reach for when we want the unmistakable pleasure of a traditional Tuscan biscuit without the tooth-breaking hardness of many commercial biscotti. They are crisp enough to dip, tender enough to enjoy on their own, and filled with almonds that bring a satisfying snap and warm, nutty flavor to every bite.
What Makes It Special
Fratelli Lunardi’s almond cantucci are certified Cantucci Toscani IGP, which means they follow the protected traditional recipe and production standards associated with Tuscany. The dough is enriched with genuine butter, giving the biscuits a more delicate, crumbly texture than leaner biscotti, while whole almonds provide contrast and depth. They are baked in the classic elongated loaves, sliced on the diagonal, and returned to the oven for their characteristic crunch.
Perfect Pairings
Pair them with Vin Santo for the traditional Tuscan experience, or serve with espresso, cappuccino, black tea, tawny port, amaretto, vanilla gelato, mascarpone, or a bowl of fresh berries.
Serving Ideas
Arrange them on a dessert board with dark chocolate and roasted nuts, serve beside coffee after dinner, crumble over gelato, or package them with a bottle of Vin Santo as a thoughtful hostess gift. For breakfast, dip one into cappuccino and enjoy it the way you would in a Tuscan café.
